So we should put tolls on existing roads and charge people for what they have already paid for?

183 highway toll road connecting with a flyover to 71
mopac = toll lanes + expanded
Flyovers from 620/360 to 71 on the south, 183 on the north.
2222 should be highway and should have flyovers to 620, 360 and mopac
2244 should be a highway and should have flyovers

That will give us multiple loops around town plus east west corridors to mopac.
I'm sure the residents of Westlake Hills and Steiner would just love your proposal

It would cost just to go anywhere in this city, beautiful parts of Austin would be ruined with flyovers.

More likely a few Michigan left turns on 360 and 620 would solve most of the problems there. I like what is happening with the Y.

From my phone so...

Why throw Surinder under the bus? Seems more like he was outspoken. Maybe that cost him his gig. Metrorapid is not his fail, but yeah, like the red line operating costs, at the exp of the system, totally agree.

Understand Seton's benefit in this as well. They get a $600M taxpayer subsidized amenity at their front door. And since they are not-for-profit, their property taxes won't go up a cent.

Follow the money. Cui bono.
Yes, carefully chosen to lead PAC. Meanwhile "on the right," certain developers are licking their chops.

Sounds a bit Jonesy to get all one-sided over this.

He's a "bomb thrower", a "political hack", etcetera. See the constant?

Lol, I self-hiyo'd too, but yes, I'm tracking.

He was outspoken for the wrong things, apparently.

Recall his citizen input during one of the CCAG or maybe utc, which he was pointing out the flaws. Seems like he didn't agree with his marching orders. Consequences...

Much like the 'rail fetishist'-type stuff you dish out? Plenty to go around, my friend.

Again, easy to be on the sidelines and criticize. Much harder to actually have to do something. Oh, I know, I know, doing something in this case is "too expensive". Well, I really am listening - what do you propose to address (not solve or fix, just address) the capacity deficit in our transportation system that will not raise peoples' taxes, since that seems to be important to you?

Actually, the problem was that he had too much allegiance to his own project - MetroRapid - to see the bigger picture. MetroRapid is just one piece of a much larger vision. Mr. Marwah couldn't abide his project being relegated to "just a piece".
