Hi, I am relocating to Austin last minute for a job and I will have only one day (tomorrow) to look at housing options. I found a place in Pflugerville I like, but I don't know if the commute will be miserable to where I will be working. Here are the links to the two commutes (Google Maps)....any advice? I can either set my office hours to 7:30a-4:30p or 8:30a-5:30p, which ever is best for the fastest commute. Thanks much, I appreciate the advice!

We're not able to see your links, can you give us a general area of your work destination?

sorry, links still don't work. can you just give us an idea of the area where you job is?

I like both cities. Since I live in Pflugerville, I know more about it. What area in Pflugerville you're checking out?

Sure, work is basically where the N Capital of Texas HWY (360) and Colorado River meet.

The housing options are near:

1. Town Center, corner of 45 and 130, Pflugerville
2. Lakeline Blvd, Cedar Park.

Google shows a 5 min driving difference between the two, even in rush hour. Thanks again.

OK, I was able to get the links to work. Looks like work area is off of 360. Either of those locations work. There will be a bit of traffic either way, but neither one holds an advantage over the other commute wise. Do you have other concerns/considerations for picking a place to live?

I think the commutes will suck either way. It's a matter of lifestyle. Are the places close to shopping? Which place is cheaper? Etc..

Riaelise, I am looking the the Mansions at Stonehill.

Moonlady, I don't really have any concerns other than the commute. I am just excited to get to Austin!

Thanks both.

For future reference you will be working near "the Bridge". (aka near 2222 & 360)

Are you buying or renting? If renting, your work is a real nice area....why not rent near there?

Oh....& "Lakeline Blvd" in CP is a LONG road. Near what cross street?

Are you moving into an apartment? There are a bunch in the Arboretum/Great Hills area that would be a much better commute.
