Hi I was wondering if anyone had info on some really great preschools in the area?? i have a 3 yol (4 in April) and will need a Pre K program for her when we move. Any suggestions?? We have a fabulous preschool now, privately owned (not a chain) very cute, very homey and comfortable. So that is what i would be looking for!! We are not church goers, but am open to a preschool done at a church (if they would take us) as long as i felt it fit our daughter and our family. I would like to find one we love, as we have an 8 month old, that i would like to see go to the same school down the road, and maybe one more!!!

Thanks!!
Christina

I am not sure what the wait list is like but you could check out Greenwood School (greenwoodschool.net). It is a private home-based preschool right on 290 (about 5 minutes from Belterra). Ages range from 2 yrs - 5 yrs. It is a wonderful little school with LOTS of outdoor natural play, yoga, music, drawing, and kind hearted teachers. The vibe and some of the values are taken from Waldorf principles. Some of the kids who go here continue onto The Austin Waldorf school (also off of 290 W).

Other schools in the Oak Hill area are Children's Courtyard, Country Home, and Bright Horizons (those are chains though). I found this list helpful when choosing daycare/preschool, Oak Hill Schools

Feel free to PM if you need more specific info on Greenwood. My 4.5 year old son goes there now and likes it.
