I really recommend Lakeway. We live at the Ridge at Alta Vista and LOVE it. There is a community pool in our neighborhood that's great. Our kids are active participants in soccer, basketball and the swim team, and all of it is a stone's throw (there are tons of other sports but those are what we do). We have a very active social group in our neighborhood, both a women's "bunko" group (that's not really bunko) and a lot of family activities. The schools are the best. And Westlake is great, but older and the streets are so windy, I'd never want my teenagers driving in that area. Lake Travis is a perfect fit for a family looking for quality houses and schools and a close-knit community near big city attractions.
