We are moving our family to Austin the end of May and need to find someone to help us find a home. We live in Iowa now and will be down for Spring break. Who can we trust... Craigslist seems to be flooded with rent to own scams. We are poor college students so we don't want anything expensive but we also want a nice clean smoke free and preferably pet free home. Any advice?? Thank you!!

This is pretty much the best source - it's the local MLS and all listings are reputable. Not saying CL isn't, but you have to weed through a lot of junk to find good listings. One thing you might note is that occupancy is very high right now and rentals are in high demand a short supply. Best of luck to you.
