We're wanting to find a Catholic church that has a little more bark to their bite. I've really grown unhappy at the disclamer that our current church has to put out before every mass about cell phones, crying children, and this past weekend they went so far as to reinform people how to receive communion...

I remember going to mass as a child, you thought twice about A) coming into the chuch late or B) made a peep during services; and it seems as though that is the norm now. It makes for quite the distraction.

Does anyone know if there are any old school Catholic churches still around in the area?

What part of town are you in?

Not knowing that or how far you're willing to drive, St. Mary Cathedral downtown may still be a good orthodox church, although I've not been there for some time and don't know much about the current pastor. Fr. Bud Roland was there previously, and he's as good as it gets. But, being in the middle of town, that might be a good option??
