My husband and I are beginning the home search process in North Austin. Several homebuilders told us to stay away from Red Oaks because of the Waste Water Treatment Facility nearby causing a horrible smell. Can anyone confrim this? It's the 1st we have heard about this and we were highly considering the area. TIA!

It's apparently right outside of the Red Oaks neighborhood in Cedar Park. My husband is commuting back and forth from Dallas to Austin currently. Since I am pregnant (2 weeks to deliver) I can not head down yet and he is looking at homesites/neighborhoods in the area after work. He went into Brushy Creek and was looking at builders/plans and two different builders randomly mentioned it. So I haven't seen it myself. I was hoping someone who lives near there or who has heard of it could shed some insight.

I live in Red Oaks and haven't heard of, or smelled, what those people are talking about.
