Hi,
So any recommendations please on

Whether to get a professional out to spray inside/outside your house

How much it should approx. cost (so we don't get ripped off)

Any names, recommendations of companies that do it

So far my husband has been Amdroing our ants and spraying a spray that smells like peppermint on the nests of hornets around our roof. We haven't seen any bugs inside the house so far but I was wondering is it the case that preventitive spraying is necessary or needed

Thanks so much for replying and advising!

YES! It's necessary... especially with the rain.

We have a company (All Starr Pests) that comes out quarterly, and any time we are having a problem - for $75 a quarter. They are a great, family owned, local and HONEST! company...

They spray the exterior, and interior as needed.

"the bug master" is also a good local reputable company and yes with all of this rain you will need a professional. especially if they are carpenter ants. They can be really stubborn. It took us 3 treatments to get rid of them in our last house.

I just use the Spectracide spray that hooks up to the water hose. I spray my house and yard down in the spring and summer once a month. In 8 years of owning a house and doing this I have never had any insects inside other than the stray fly or other flyer that gets in through an open door. Grand total of $10 a treatment.

We use Terminix. They come out once a month and spray inside and out and come back if we need them to for no additional charge. I hate roaches!

Has anyone used Aztec Organic? I have a dog and hate hate hate bugs so wanted something effective that wouldn't harm pets - my vet suggested Aztec. Anyone with any experience with them and knowledge of their fees?

Does spraying kill the scorpions? If not, how do you get rid of them if your apt has them?

We use Fortis and it was $90 initially, for the inside, outside and along the fence. The regular service EOM at $75. We've had 3 little scorpions but I think that is due to the construction going on both sides of us.

Texanwannabe--- my bug guy told me no spray works on scorpions. Smashing them with a shoe is the way to go. I, however, get creeped out by the popping noise, so I flushed mine
