Expect for the Market at Windsor Springs to break ground real soon. This is the second large commercial project in South Augusta(Windsor Square/Peach Orchard redevelopment).. Please make sure to contact the local commissioners about leveraging private investment. Both Tobacco rd and Peach Orchard can use new landscaping, sidewalks, and bike lanes to entice private development. Elliott park near Butler off Peach Orchard. should be upgraded and expanded also.

I don't believe the elected officials in Hephzibah would support this. The Hephzibah city limits don't include the part of Tobacco rd between the airport and Fort Gordon. The area can't easily compete either, because of the large amount of daily traffic flowing through I-520/Peach Orchard/Windsor Spring.

I think its a good ideal for wal-mart to be built on Tabacco road off Windsor Spring. It would be good if they would put a Wendy's there. Join with the other food places.

Putting more and better Restruant on Tabacco Road would be just as good. Having a nice Seafood of Steak Restruant would be just fine.

We definitely need more choices (yes even fast food) out this way. Get tired of Mcdonalds when I want to get something quick to eat.

But I definitely would like to see more casual dining restaurants.

I think we could use something fast casual say WingStop or Zaxby's on Tobacco Rd.

A casual sit-down restaurant I don't think would fair too well after the newness of it wore off. Just not enough casual traffic out that way.

Any casual restaurants in south Augusta would likely be on Peach Orchard as I agree with you that tobacco rd would be a little far out. But I wouldn't mind a Zaxbys out this way.

Tobacco rd and Windsor spring is prime location for a sit down eatery of some sort.

Not when the I-520, Windsor Spring, and Peach Orchard corridor is still underdeveloped.. The traffic counts in one location is much higher compared to the other.

Lord knows they need something like this down there.. and maybe a Wal-mart super center can make it work where others have failed at that location
