My husband and I may be relocating to Atlanta for work soon. The job would be in Sandy Springs, so we are looking at suburbs north Atlanta that would be a humane commute. We would like a suburb with good schools, a low crime rate and homes within the $200-250,000 range. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Thanks!

That's easy - Roswell. Just up the road on Georgia 400. Great schools, low crime plus a city that's very focused on arts, culture, free concerts, free plays, history. You'll love it.

Roswell is a possibility but, your budget will restrict your choices.
I highly recommend an exploratory long weekend visit. Get a fill/feel for the area(s). Then find an RE agent to work with who knows the area you would like to concentrate on.

Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Milton, along with Roswell make up the entire northern part of Fulton county. Addresses are a bit strange for right now- Johns Creek and Milton are relatively new cities. Johns Creek doesn't have it's own Zip yet so, some of the Johns Creek areas fall under a Cumming or Duluth mailing address.

Your possible scope- as far as budget- will really widen if you look at the southern part of Forsyth county. Specifically the South Forsyth HS area.
