Hello all,

I will be moving to Georgia in Feb. of 2010 and was hoping I could get some information from the residents themselves on the best areas to rent a condo. The real estate agent I'm working with seems a little too enthusiastic about every place and when I visited last week, I was very unhappy with the selection. I'm looking for a one bedroom, and my budget is between $800 and $1500, preferably the low side! and I'd prefer somewhere new or modern. Any help will be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Tony P.

The first thing people are going to ask you is if you have a job lined up, and if so, what area of town it's in. Atlanta traffic is famous, and living near where you work is very important if you value your sanity.

Yes. Although I will be dependent on my savings more so since the position I am taking requires me to pay my dues for about a year. The job is located around Courtland Street (?). I am really concerned with safety and like I said, I'd like something relatively new, but I know beggers can't be choosers.

Here are some apartments for you to check out:

N. Highland Steel | Perennial Properties

Luxury Apartment Homes - Post Properties - Furnished Apartments - Retail - Condominiums (Post Parkside)

www.promove.com has been very helpful for some folks too.

I would suggest looking in Midtown. You could jump on the subway and get to work on Courtland Street or a quick drive.
