Generally, how is the commute from Peachtree City to the Downtown Atlanta area?

Peachtree City is a pretty good distance from downtown. If you are traveling down Hwy 74 it will take you a good 25 minutes to get to interstate 85. If you are traveling from Hwy 54 it will take you about 30 minutes to get to interstate 75. Once you get on the interstate, if there is traffic, it will probably take you a good 25-30 minutes to get downtown, so, the whole commute (depending on traffic) will probably take you 45-60 minutes to get downtown.

That depends on where you live in PTC, and what time you leave. We live on the very north end of PTC, and it takes me 30 min. to get downtown, if the traffic is good. If you're on the south end of PTC, you can easily add another 20-30 min. to your commute. Even if traffic is "bad", it rarely takes me longer than 45 min. to get into ATL. The traffic on the southside isn't anywhere close to what it is on the north.

The airport takes me about 15-20 min. to get there. Again, I live on the far north side, but we strategically placed ourselves there to be closer to ATL. I wouldn't want to commute from the south end of PTC. PTC is very long!

Default Commute from Peachtree City to Vinings/NW Atlanta?

What about commute from northern PTC for a job in northwest Atlanta/Vinings? Are there reasonable alternate route if the main highway is backed up? Need to make move soon and would greatly appreciate an answer! Also is there any city between the two that might be similar to PTC?

Used to take me about 50 minutes to an hour during non-rush hour times (driving the speed limit). About an hour to an hour and 15 minutes if you stop and use the College Park Marta Station (45 minutes from PTC to station platform and 15 minutes to half an hour to downtown from College Park platform depending on train schedule).
