It is a fungus per the post from jbmillion. You will see it on the north side of all of the houses in this area. All of the shigles sold in this area are mold resistant since I don't know how long. Do NOT powerwash, you will degrade the shingles. I don't know about the cleaners recommended.

LOL... the best thing to do may be to wait until the hail storms come in the Spring, then file an insurance claim just joking... but not really...
