Can anyone provide insight on living in Canton? Looking at possible relocating there with a child in middle school. Anyone know about the Bradshaw Estates? Also, can you tell me about the commute from Marietta (Lockheed Martin)? Are there back roads you can take to avoid a bad commute? I'm looking for ANY & all info on the area - pros & cons.

Thanks!

I live across from Bradshaw in Harmony on the Lake, and I would highly recommend the area. I'm pretty sure that your kids would go to Rusk Middle and Sequoyah High (practically across the street from Bradshaw Estates), though they may be zoned for the newer Creekland/Creekview schools. Both schools are very good, so I wouldn't worry about either.

The commute to LM will vary greatly depending on your hours. I work in downtown and can make th trip in 40 minutes at 5:30am, or a little over an hour at 7am. You'd be getting off far north of where I go, so it won't be as long. The afternoon commute is hit or miss- some days you could be less than 30 minutes, others over an hour. There are back roads that don't really cut down on the time, though they do eliminate the need to stare at brakelights on 75/575.
