Hi, I am interviewing for a Job in Norcross and i am wondering what everyone thinks of areas around Norcross and where would be a could place to move to near there. My credit isnt so hot at the moment just to put a number out there around 550, would it make moving very difficult ? I have a baby on the way so schools will be a plus.. i also have family in alpharetta aswell. which offered me a room to stay at untill i get situated, if i get the position.

Looking for opinions on living in Atlanta aswell.

The west side of Norcross would be better and there are a number of apartment complexes and different types of housing around Holcomb Bridge Rd and Spalding Drive, this area is often called Peachtree Corners. If you can stay with family for a month or two that would give you a chance to search more thoroughly.

We are looking at about a 1-2 month(s) stay with family. I will check out Peachtree. I will be up there in a couple weeks to research the areas.

Norcross and the part closer to Alpharetta is pretty nice. The places in Norcross are very cheap to rent and most places now a days aren't checking credit (they are desperate for renters so you can negotiate your rent).

Credit will most likely be in an issue for your prospective employer. Be prepared for them to do a credit check on you.

Best of luck to you!

I have no insight on those areas, but as a (former) fellow Floridian, I will tell you to bring your warmest clothes and gloves. Some will disagree, but it's been freezing here lately

I just moved from South Miami to Atlanta area/Smyrna 2 months ago. So far I like it a lot better. People are more considerate here and the place is cleaner. It is not snowing here are rarely does. I saw snow for the first time in my life last month but that was in Illinois (It was in the 20s). It is not that cold here now.
