Dear All,

Sorry if there has been a similar thread listed before (I did search but didn't see anything)

I am acting on behalf of a wealthy individual who would like to purchase a luxury home in the Atlanta area for her family.

Money is no object up to $20M possibly more for the right property (sorry to mention that in these difficult times, but that's my brief).

They are a black family relocating to the US from the UK.

They particularly want to live in a community so they DO NOT want a large home that it on the edge of town surrounded by fields! A private enclave/estate is more what they have in mind.

They are open to any areas where a black family would feel comfortable and welcomed so not necessarily just a black area.

Good schools, churches, security, amentities, pristine environment, shopping. The property should be no more than 30 mins to town. They are interested in new, old, and refurbished homes but preferably a BRICK built home.

I would particularly like to get a grasp of areas and good agents I may contact ahead, as I am flying to the US in the next few weeks. I am not familiar with Atlanta so I would be most helpful for any info and the heads up on any new developments, websites for new properties etc.

I want the real deal from you guys and do not want to be swayed by agents before I have done my homework.

Thanks

I would concentrate my search on Buckhead (30327) and Sandy Springs (30328, 30350).
Here are a couple of links to RE firms that are specialists in those areas.

LovinDecatur - thanks, the websites are great.

Graywolf73 - Why a scam? I am only asking for information. I live in the UK and am helping someone out but I am not familiar with Atlanta.

If anyone else thinks it is a scam please do not reply. I'll just go on the websites I have been given thus far. Thanks.

I Was just about to say -- if you called agents you would get swayed/get the agents giddy. Check out the websites mentioned above and then check out the areas of peachtree battle road and associated side streets, along with paces ferry road from PEachtree west to the river. The area near Mount Paran Rd and north to 285 (londonberry?) is also worth checking out. You can go look on real estate websites and sort in the zip codes given, or the whole metro inside the perimeter and sort decensing by $. You'll find whatr youre looking for.
