Here is one for you members.....

I have research some private schools in Gwinnett county . I have found Greater Atlanta Christian school, Bridgeway Chrisitan Academy, Snellville Chrisitan, Wesleyan Christian, St. Newman Catholic school, ....

I have narrowed my search to GACS and BCA (first two)......only because of gut feelings, but I truly would appreciate any feedbacks. Thank you in advance for your prompted replies.

If you live in Duluth, another option is Woodward Academy North (K-6) in nearby city of John's Creek.

You have certainly missed the deadline for Woodward and GAC, really wants most applicants to apply in the fall.

Wesleyen should be in your top schools, for certain, but again, I imagine you have missed the deadline.

I hear that applications to private schools in metro ATlanta are down this year, so you may have a shot. Some schools accept application after the deadline, others do not unless you have moved from out of town.

If you are trying to move a child for next year into a private school, you need to prioritize your energies on the ones that offer the best shot of admssions, if your need to make a change is critical.

Have you looked into Notre Dame Academy? It is a Catholic school and I believe it is off of Peachtree Industrial.

I almost started this thread yesterday too!!

Anyone have suggestions for Cherokee county...any thoughts on North Cobb Christian, Cherokee Christian, Mt Paran, etc.?

I still have time to research (about 3yrs) but want to start getting my ducks in a row...especially if we have to move.

Aside from Cherokee county, what is the best Christian Private schools?

Sorry...did not mean to hijak, but did not want to start a similar thread.

Thanks!

^Marist, Westminster, Lovett. Blessed Trinity is located in Roswell which isn't that far from Cherokee County. Queen of Angels is adjacent to BT and is the lower level school.

Marist (in Chamblee) begins in 7th grade and is Catholic (if that matters, to some Christians it does) as is Blessed Trinity. Is Mt Pisgah up that way as well? What is the name of the school that John Smoltz help start?

Westminster and Lovett (both in Buckhead) are both Christian and both nearly impossible to get into -- I think I read Lovett had nearly 1000 applications for less than 200 spaces last year -- Westminster would have had more.

One trick, so to speak, is to apply at the earliest point -- for example, in pre-k if that is when the school begins. This will certainly give you an edge, for two reasons. One, the admission requirements may be loser, two -- if you don't get in, and apply again the next year, they know you are serious.
