Anybody have a good guess when the lines will be shorter? I won't say who I'm voting for so I'll get completely accurate information here. :-)

Me, too...that gives people that are getting in early to vote and go on to work a chance to clear out.

To help make the voting process go a little quicker in Georgia, research and determine your vote on the amendments ahead of time. It could take 5 minutes standing there trying to parse this gem: "Authorizes the General Assembly to provide for the creation and regulation of infrastructure development districts for the provision of infrastructure as authorized by local governments."

I found some tips on ballotpedia.org but that site is running pretty slowly today.

Just vote no on that one. It's BS.

Yes on Amendment 1
No for sure on two
No on three... in case anyone wants my advice!

Wish I'd had your recommendation LMM. I hadn't heard anything about the ballot initiatives, so my husband and I stood in line for a long time trying our darnedest to figure out what on earth they were talking about.

Any word about the polls staying open until nine?

The AJC has Fulton and Clayton gave up trying to get the hours extended.

Fulton: Expect to wait at least 2 hours to vote | ajc.com (http://www.ajc.com/news/content/metro/atlanta/stories/2008/11/03/fulton_voting_hours.html - broken link)

As for the questions, I went no across the board. The worst is 3 though. Unless you are a developer, 3 does noone any good. One is just a giveaway to people with lots of land. Two could go either way on. It was tough, eventually I decided that developers get too much already.

Two absolutely could not go either way -- because so far most TADs in Metro Atlanta have been loaded with developments that include 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and have already negatively impacted the schools.

TADs take money from schools -- that is bad.
