I need to make a choice between Northwestern Exterminator and Chemical Technogies of GA for our next 5 to 9 years termite control/insurance. I know the latter has better reputation but it's $110 more expensive in initial set up and $20 more for yearly inspection. (But Northwestern has $250 deductible though). Is it worth the while to go for a more expensive one with a better reputation? Both provide 1 million dollars insurance.

Am I missing anything regarding termite control/insurance? Any suggestions much appreciated!

Is this for a repair bond or a treatment bond? If I were you, I would probably just go with the treatment bond, as most repair bonds are hard to collect on, b/c they find a loop hole (ie, the damage was already there, or they could not see the area where the inital infestation occurred, etc.). It also depends on what kind of method either company uses....for example, I do not believe in the baiting approach b/c numerous studies have found it highly ineffective. I have never heard of Chemical Technologies before, so can't really comment on which has the better reputation.

I use Arrow Exterminators, and coincidentally so does my boss -- and he had no issues when his house was damaged. They brought in their own repair crews and did a good job, he said, and he can be rather fussy.

Ditto on Arrow. We had a swarm 9 years in to our 10 year treatment and they fixed all the damage with no hassles. We renewed with them and went with an Centricon system which was initially more expensive but its annual renewal costs are less. And it shouldn't suffer from the same "10 year" problem we had before.

Arrow here as well. No complaints and great service so far after one year.
