Hello,

I know I sound like a broken record but I am also considering moving from FL to the ATL area. I am looking in the Stockbridge/ Mcdonough area. Could you estimate how long it would take to get to downtown during rush hour times from both of these towns? It looks like Mcdonough is 8-10 miles further, trying to see how much of a difference this makes.

Thanks for the help, I really enjoy your board. Went through 21 pages today and didnt see any info on this drive time.

Marcus

What time of day are you asking about? Rush hours, which is getting to be most of the day on weekdays, means a much longer drive into the city in the a.m. and out of the city in the p.m. McDonough looks a good bit further than Stockbridge, and I would estimate Stockbridge to be about 20 miles or maybe more...

Ok, I didn't read your post very thoroughly did I? Rush hour from points south on I75 can be really bad...I think those areas would be at least 30-45 minutes or possibly more. Georgia Navigator is a great website to check out...it gives trip times, shows problem areas on a map, and has data on all the major highways around Atlanta. It might be good to check it during the times you'll be traveling and see what you come up with.

I don't know about downtown during rush hour, but we live in Mcdonough and my Hubby works at the Airport and he allows and hour to the airport, We can get to the airport in 30min in no traffic, so I would think during Rush hour you would need to add another 20-30 min maybe?
