I am meeting some friends tomorrow at Decatur Square (Raging Burrito) and because of the downtown paving and the Braves game tomorrow afternoon, I decided against driving to Decatur (I am coming from Vinings). So I am planning on taking MARTA.

However, I have two choices. One is to drive to the Lindbergh Station, park, take the N/S line to 5 Points and then the E/W line over to Decatur. However, there is track work being done on the N/S line tomorrow, so trains will be delayed. My other option is to drive down 285 to the Holmes Station, park, and then take the E/W line all the way to Decatur. I have never parked at that station, and I am not sure about how safe the area is to leave my car for a couple of hours.

Anyone have any thoughts or have you ever parked at the Holmes station? Is it safe? I'll be meeting my friends about 2 PM and then leave probably around 4 PM or so (not late at night).

I don't think you should have any problem. The station is in more a commercial section compared to north and south of where it is located. Marta Police patrol the station pretty good too. I wouldn't expect any problems. Just have your eyes and ears open as normal.
