Does anybody know of a grocery store that carries lemon sherbet? Normally, we shop at Publix, but I have been to 4 different locations looking for it. None of them carry it (not out of it, just no place on the shelf). We are located in Smyrna/Mableton, but I am willing to drive almost anywhere north of the city to buy it! I am nearing my delivery date, and this is my first real pregnancy craving!

Thank you!

Trader Joe's at Johnson Ferry and Upper Roswell carries lemon sorbet! It's a little out of the way from Smyrna but that's the only place I've seen it in Cobb.

Thank you! I will keep that in mind if I do not get any other responses tonight. I seriously did not think that it would be hard to find, but now that I have a craving for it, it figures it would be difficult! Thanks again!

I've found the Haagen Dazs (sp) lemon sorbet at Wal-Mart either on Ashford Dunwoody or Peachtree Industrial.

I remember when I was pregnant and I couldn't find lemon sorbet anywhere on the planet! I even wrote Edy's a really ugly letter about it. They sent me coupons, but I still couldn't find the lemon sorbet. God I love that stuff.

Hey, kagmypts, I just had a pretty-ambrosial cup of lemon gelato with blueberries, from the brand new gelato bar in the Whole Foods in Sandy Springs. They have dairy-free lemon sorbet and dairy-free orange sorbet too, if you'd prefer those to gelato.

The Sandy Springs Whole Foods is at Hammond Drive and Roswell Road - not actually insanely far from Smyrna via I-285. Or maybe there's a similarly-equipped WF even nearer to you ... I wouldn't know.

Now see, I promised my husband to stay out of Whole Foods, or as he calls it 'Whole Paycheck.' Now you're tempting me lemon AND blueberries???? Oh man.

Your husband is totally right. The only grocery item I buy there is a brand of sweet relish much favored by my husband and not available at Publix. But it's kind of the closest place to my office to eat, and so I tend to migrate over there at lunchtime, and sometimes buy over-pricey but good prepared foods, and sometimes just a carton of yogurt and some fruit, while snagging a sample or two.

The sorbet and gelato are $2.99 for 4 oz and $4.99 for 8 oz. Expensive of course. It was really good, though.
