Curbed seems to think this is a bad thing.

I prefer to see the glass as half full. We are way ahead of places like Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Chicago, LA and NYC.

According to a range of metrics, Atlanta fell dead center, showing up at number 50 out of 100 on the list. Generally we think better of ourselves ‘round these parts.

The slap-in-the-face slotting weighed factors like cost of living, employment, commute, weather, and demographics.

Harrisburg PA and Lancaster PA ahead of Atlanta? LOL no thanks. Top schools in the Lancaster area wouldn't even be tops in Gwinnett County. Growth is slow. Most of the people are insular. Weather sucks. Job market is meh. Roads are awful.

True, but rivals Charlotte #14, Dallas #15, and Houston #20 are way ahead.

Texas is on fire right now. Dallas, Houston and Austin are all hot (both figuratively and literally!)

0% Income Tax in TX vs. 6% in GA makes a huge difference!

Yes but...
As my cousin who lives in and owns property in San Antonio puts it, "They'll get you in other ways in Texas." i.e. other taxes & fees.

Please. People move there strictly because of jobs or because its cheaper. Nobody moves there because its fun and exciting unless they are from a small town. Plus TX gets there money from higher city and property taxes and toll roads
