Yeah, but have you ever worn $800 pants? It's like wiping your arse with silk.

I've never done either of those things.

That sounds exactly the way it should be. It SHOULD be woven into the neighborhood fabric. If it is going to climb the scales, it needs to BECOME the destination for those "in the know" and reach the hierarchy.

I'm not likely to have those experiences, either.

Some of us old geezers are just trying to dig out a pair of britches that don't have a hole in them or a big ketchup stain. Fashion is not exactly our strong suit.

My wife complained to me just this past weekend that I needed to go buy a few new golf shirts. Looking at them, I can see her point. But, hey! Only a couple of the ones I have now have a hole or stain. And those darn things can cost upward of $20 at Target.

My mom complains that my dad wears the same black shirt anytime we go out to eat somewhere. I think he has about half a dozen of those shirts. Between that and the thermal Old Navy shirts I don't think he wears anything worth more than 10 bucks at a time! Then there's also the myriad of 5-10 year old blue jeans.

Well, if a man finds something he likes he tends to stick with it. If you get 20 different colors then you have to go through the whole thing of trying to match stuff up and somebody is always going to say you got it wrong.

Ansley, I have faced the same complaint you did but what people fail to take into account is that once you know where the major holes are you can wear things in such a way as to minimize them.

If you are like me, however, it won't be long before you get the new ones broken in with stains and whatnot. Just let me give the dogs a bath or take me to a cookout or some such thing.
