Northside does have a website with a "physician Finder" button. Check out Northside.com. Dr. Yvette Smith delivered both my kids at Northside - I was very pleased overall. The most important thing to me was to have the very best neonatologists available - I didn't have any problems and my babies were healthy, but knowing that the Northside NICU is the best in the state and was there if my babies needed it was very reassuring.

I cannot say enough good things about Piedmont. I have delivered two babies there (and will be delivering another one there this July). I really think that you cannot go wrong with either Piedmont or Northside. Honestly for something as important as bringing your baby into the world, I would let where you are living determine where you are delivering. Just as an FYI, I would highly recommend Home (http://www.awog.org/awog.htm - broken link). It is a group of all women (I personally prefer a woman ob/gyn), but that is just personal preference.

One thing that I have heard from my friends who delivered at Northside - it takes a while from the time the epidural is "ordered" until it is administered. At Piedmont, the anetheologist showed up almost as soon as the nurse left to go find him (both times). That is definitely worth a lot in my book!

Thanks everyone for the help! Although we aren't sure where we'll be living, it will definitely be in the city. My husband will be working on Peachtree St (?) I believe and he doesn't want much of a commute. He did like the area around Emory and Druid Hills, but I guess it will just depend on where we can find a short-term furnished rental that takes dogs! Ahh!
