I am looking at moving to either Fayetteville, Peachtree City, or Summers Grove area of Newnan. My first criteria in finding a great location after I get the vibe of the area is to make sure that they have a great church. I mean, a GREAT bible preaching, vibrant, growing, energetic church. I currently attend a large church and sing in the choir where I live now, and I am fearful that I will not find an amazing church like I am in now when I move. I was raised Pentecostal, but I currently attend a "Bapticostal" church and really enjoy it. What churches would fit my criteria in the region?

According to City data, Fayette County 71.7% religious is and Coweta County is 39.8% religious...

Not in Fayette County, but in adjacent Clayton County you would LOVE our church, Harvest Baptist Church. We have a 85 voice choir (Southern Gospel flair), a wonderful pastor Bro. Joe Arthur (nationally renowned I might add as a speaker), and a friendly, growing congregation of 500-600. We definitely have Bible preaching and a "spirit-led" worship style. We have many families from all over Metro Atlanta (a church that is alive is worth the drive) including several from the South Fayette/ Coweta area. Our address 1974 Walt Stephens Road Jonesboro, Georgia 30236; check out our website: harvestbaptistga.com. We would LOVE to be your new church home, or just come for a visit and a blessing. You will definitely fit in if you are used to a "spirit-led" worship style.

A lively congregation in Eastern Coweta is Crossroads Community Church. Right at the intersection of 154 and 34. Would fit the definition of Bapticostal. The SBC churches in the area I would recommend: FBC Peachtree City, FBC Newnan, East Newnan BC and Unity Baptist... but that one is on the southwest side of Newnan and maybe a bit away from your core search area.

The Church of God is more pentecostal in outlook but has had tremendous growth in the Atlanta area, you might look at some of those as well. My nephew and family attend Southcrest Church in the Summer Grove area, it probably has a Bapticostal outlook, a bit more contemporary than the others.

Hope this helps.

Crossroads is a good and growing church, but may swing a bit more contemporary than what you described. Good luck and God bless in your search and I still hope you visit us at Harvest. ;0)
