That sounds like a commute that would cause hair-loss.

I use to commute from Nesbitt Ferry/ Old Alabama area to Paulding Co. I took Holcomb Br. into Roswell, A couple of backstreets to 120. I could be in Marietta in 20min. That was leaving at about 6:15am. So, I guess if you came west on Pleasant Hill, Made the jog to Old Alabama (or picked up Jimmy Carter which becomes Holcomb Br) you could probably go from there to there in under an hour. Guess it just depends how early you're willing to get outta bed.
*All of that trek I made was against traffic*

Yeah, that Chick-Fil-A on Windy Hill is the busiest I have ever seen! I used to work in the building right next door, and it would take forever to get from the freeway exit to just past the line of cars going in there. I used to drive from Pleasant Hill to Windy Hill daily (not for very long), and just thinking about it gives me hives!!!

Reviving an old thread for those interested. I decided to try a test run. I'm not sure if this was a fluke, but my commute to Marietta (WellStar Kennestone Hospital) took almost an hour. The Windy Hill Rd exit in Marietta was less, around 45-50 minutes. I left on a Friday around 7am. I'll try another test run on Monday just to be sure.

Making a Monday run is a good idea. Friday morning traffic tends to be the lightest of the week (Friday afternoon is the worst, IMO). Monday would give you a better idea of the usual commute.

Well, my test run today (Monday) was very much the same as last Friday.

The commute from Duluth - Pleasant Hill Rd. ( Exit 104 ) to Marietta - Church St. ( Exit 267B ) took approximately one hour. The Windy Hill Rd. exit in Marietta, and keep in mind this is only the exit, took about 45 minutes. The Dunwoody Rd ( Exit 29 off 285) was 30-35 minutes.

As mentioned in a previous post, traffic conditions on Friday mornings are usually lighter than your average weekday. Since both days resulted in the same commute, I'm assuming that Friday took longer only because of weather (light rain) conditions.

If you leave no later than 6:30, it should take about 45 mins. After 6:30 is will take about an hr. I'm assuming you will take Peachtree Indutrial to 285W to 75 which is much quicker than taking 85 S to 285 W. The return commute will take 1 hr. no matter what time you leave.
