Howdy folks! I was wondering what the commute time during rush hour would be from Buford to Atlanta. Im moving to GA soon and dont know whether to live out in the suburbs where I can get more bang for my buck when it comes to housing and pay more in gas or live closer to the city and pay more for housing and less in gas. If I were to live in buford...how much more of a commute would I have...say out side the perimeter vs inside the perimeter. I hope I made sense... lol

Thanks so much.

My wife commutes from Suwanee (just south of the Buford city limits) to midtown every day. Usually takes her between an hour and 15 minutes to 1.5 hours. Two hours on a bad day.

OhioNative,

Does your wife have the peachpass? How would you compare your quality of life in suwanee vs living in the city?

She has the Peachpass but rarely finds it useful. The only reason that she continues this commute is the fact that she loves her job, and gets to leave well before afternoon traffic starts. That makes the afternoon drive about 35-40 minutes. I have to commute the opposite direction so we don't live in the city. We are suburbanites anyway so it's fine for us.
