I want to know from the people who have lived outside of Georgia, because here one day we can set a daily record low under 0 degrees, the next day it can be pouring rain, and the third day is a beautiful 60 degree day.

So for those of you who have lived elsewhere, is it bipolar at all or is it that just limited to Georgia?

No, not even close. Ever been to the Great Plains? It can literally drop from 40 degrees to the single digits within an hour.

No. You know that if the temps change dramatically in Ga then it probably has changed dramatically in 10+ states around Ga, generally

The temperature event you are taking about is rare and affected the whole northern hemisphere. North America had very cold temperatures and Asua had very warm ones. Search polar vortex when you get a chance. Oh yeah I think Georgia has some of the best weather in the country imo. There's a climate for everyone(except for desert but who wants those temperatures). And did I mention Georgia's weather is very predictable.

I expected four distinct seasons here. Obviously, I didn't get them. Nevertheless, it appears Georgia isn't wilding off weather-wise more than any other states in the region.

Actually I think Georgia's weather is pretty even Kiel . Colorado , on the other hand , is a whole different story ! Wearing shorts in the morning in downtown Boulder ( spring ) to seeing snow flurries at the NCAR property just above Boulder later that same afternoon .

It really gets on my nerves when people get mad that it's cold one day and then semi-warm later in the week and then haul off and say "this d*** Georgia weather!!!" What? It's like they don't get weather at all. What happens here happens everywhere around us also, DUH! And weather is LITERALLY synonymous with inconsistency everywhere but maybe SoCal....barely. The people that complain about the inconsistent weather here (and it's really not, in the grand scheme of things) would commit suicide if they lived in the Great Plains, where I've seen/felt it go from 73° to 20° with blizzard-like conditions in 12 hours in Oklahoma City.

Chicago has Atlanta beat. Even without the polar vortex, Chicago can go through all 4 seasons in one week. On a regular basis. A few years back on Easter, the day started off a warm 78* by noon. Around 1pm it started raining and then by 5pm it was snowing. People had went to church in open toe shoes and sun dresses and were freezing on the way home. Gotta love it. LOL
