And when the peaches are ripe, allow lucky kids that show up before the game to pick peaches from down there. And peachtrees don't grow tall enough for it to block the batter's eye...

I think it would look nice to have a kudzu wall out there. As awesome as Ed Mangans' grounds crew is, it wouldn't be anything at all for them to have a guy maintaining it. It could be a signature of Turner Field to have the announcers call it when J-Hey or Freddie Freeman hits a homer into the kudzu. During the winter, they would just have to cut it back like the grounds crew does with the ivy at Wrigley Field, and that's the entire outfield fence they're maintaining. I also like the Stone Mountain granite idea. I'd like to see them cap that area with a big granite slab with the Braves "A" or a tomahawk sculpted into it.

I think the ball would get lost in the granite.

Yeah, I meant to have the granite slab recessed lower, so that it was slightly lower than the top of the outfield fence and the batter wouldn't be able to see it from ground level 400 feet away. You get the idea though. It's supposed to be kind of like a granite version of the Pirates batters eye hedge at PNC park.

Think something like this, but a granite bas relief sculpture. That's kinda what I was going for anyway. If it were low enough to where the batter couldn't see it, it would still make for great aerial shots and add a bit of flare to the home run balls to straightaway center. I think this is such an awesome idea!!! And I think you're right. With the grounds crew there and the amazing work that MLB grounds keepers do, they'll definitely be able to keep the kudzu from overgrowing.

And it all SAYS Atlanta.
