I keep seeing threads about people whose jobs are moving them here to Atlanta, and it makes me wonder what the heck i'm doing wrong with my own job search!

These people are TRANSFERS or have jobs or businesses that enable them to work from home and live anywhere. It's difficult to find a job here by just simply applying, even for the locals. Things are starting to pick up though. After four years of looking, I am just now starting to get interviews or calls about jobs. But this has been mostly through networking.

I misunderstood. I thought you were trying to move to Atlanta. Well all you can do is keep applying or start looking elsewhere if you aren't growing in your career. I'm sure he'll try lol. Atlanta isn't a catch-all and it isn't the best place for everyone. Folks have to be open to everywhere other than Atlanta to find a job these days.
