Hello

I am a single female possibly moving to Atlanta from The Netherlands. I have been to ATL twice and liked thenclimate and people very warm and friendly. However, I do not know what to expect with living there. I will be working in the sandy springs area. Could some one give me some feedback on the belowz:
- cost of living : rent, utilities
- taxes
I'll be making about 65k per annum

What is a good area to live if one were to work in. Sandy springs? I come from a over populated city and don't like an opulent life. Strong believer in living within my means. Will I be able to live comfartably with the above stated pay scale?

Thank you for your input

You should be able to live in a nice apartment in Sandy Springs - it is conveniently located, nice shopping etc.

I would start your search there.

Sandy Springs is a nice area that you could live just fine in on that salary. You could also check around Roswell, Dunwoody, or Buckhead to still be close to work but might have a slightly different feel that you may or may not prefer. Roswell is generally a bit more residential/suburb and Buckhead is more urban.

Thanks Everyone for the input.
@Paulwallbaby - Groetjes voor jou papa

Can someone please tell me how the tax system works? I know it varies from state to state?

Also, do the rentals include utilities like it does in Europe? Can someone recommend a few names that I can reach out to for finding a place in Buck head/sandy springs?
