Tyler Perry believed to be buyer of massive Douglas County... | www.ajc.com It isn't confirmed yet that he purchased it but it sounds like he did. He could just be investing but with the way our film industry has been picking up I bet he does something big with it. The property is over 800 acres! The article also mentions an unrelated 90 million dollar proposed studio in Effingham County that I was unaware of.

Tyler Perry has too much invested in his complex down by Greenbriar to relocate out to DC. And 800 acres is WAY to much for a movie studio anyway. The huge Pinewood Studios project in Fayette County will occupy less than 300 acres.

Maybe he's planning a Madea theme park?

Sounds like a good deal to me. I don't see how how you can go wrong at $6,300 an acre for close in land.

When you're worth a half-billion, plus a virtually unlimited account with The Bank of Oprah, you can buy whatever you want. Must be nice!

Tyler's a big dreamer. It's scary to think where he's gonna be a decade from now.

Say what ever you want about Tyler Perry, but he continue to say show me the money, and make more deposits into his bank account. His latest movie Temptations has gross over 50 million, which is typically for his movies. Also Tyler is releasing another movie almost one month later. I anticipate another 50 million in earnings. Not bad for a resident of Atlanta to make 100 million in 30 -60 days.

I doubt this Peebles movie will perform as we as Temptation, but I totally agree with you. I still can't seem to understand why it is so much negative hate towards the man. After all he is putting good actors (black and white) to work. What's so wrong with that ?
