we live in the foothills of NC now.
Would like to move to the foothills of North Georgia.
About an hours drive or so to the perimeter area.

We are looking for:

Good schools
Good HS football program (big deal for our 8th grader)
low crime
smaller town

Buford?
Gainesville?
other areas?

thanks for any advice you can provide

Will you need to commuet during standard morning and evening hours or do you have schedule flexibility to get an early start on traffic?

I would think I would want to arrive at my work location about 6:30-7:00am to beat the majority of traffic.

Yes, we are well aware of that.
That is why I am specifically asking what would be about an hour from the perimeter during the weekday - specifically 6am-7am in the morn and 6-7pm in the eve.

Thanks!
