Well that was a nice reply Charles22. Hi there...we moved here 1 1/2 years ago after lots of research. Look at the high schools in the area and then figure if they are good, so are their feeder schools. Visit schooldigger.com and greatschools.org for some help.

We are in S. Forsyth county which has great schools and lower taxes than Fulton where you are asking about. In S. Forsyth, there are South Forsyth High school or Lambert high school (that's where we are). For Johns Creek and Alpharetta, there are Johns Creek High School, Northview High School, Alpharetta High School. There are more but these are the ones closest to where we live.

The best thing to do is figure out what your commute is going to be like from where you live and figure out what area is best that way. Good luck!

This is really where your focus should be. There are no bad schools in North Fulton. "Best" school is subjective.

We moved here recently, and this is exactly what we have discovered. "Best" is subjective, but Northview seems to be the most competitive when it comes to SAT scores. East of 400, you can't really go wrong with any of the high schools and the elementary/middle feeders: Alpharetta, Chattahoochie, Northview, Johns Creek, Lambert, S Forthsyth. Also, Milton High on the west side is in the ranking. There are a couple in Roswell and Marietta too from what we've seen.

We chose the alpharetta/johns creek area to reside due to our preference for the area. We didn't worry about schools so much once we saw that they are all similar at face value.
