Some interesting maps for any Atlanta bicycle commuters or for those who just like to ride around the city. These maps are a result of the “Transit Day Hack-a-Thon" at Georgia Tech last week.

I think it's great to see real data about how cyclists are using roads around the city, whether that be for commuting or for leisurely rides. I think it really shows the importance of adding bike lanes, cycle tracks, etc. for last mile connectivity throughout the city - and this definitely works to highlight the city streets that should be prioritized when making decisions on where they should be located.

I use that app, it is great and allows leaders to see that people actually cycle not just for recreation in Atlanta.

But at least the changes are coming! Gotta stay positive I'm still wondering why I haven't seen any of the funded bicycle projects that the city announced were coming in 2013 started. If they are coming in 2013, they better get a move on building them...
