University endowments were down -0.7% nationally from 2011. Georgia colleges and universities saw an overall dip in endowment. Just when our schools were making considerable academic and R&D progress, endowments decreased. My predication is that endowments will increase significantly this year.

Endowment Market Value from FY 2011 to FY 2012
Georgia Perimeter's endowment was up 20.6%
Emory's endowment was up 1.1%
Georgia Tech's endoment was down -0.7%
University of Georgia's endowment was down -0.2%
Georgia State's endowment was down -0.9%
Mercer University's endowment was down -2.7%
Georgia Southwestern's endowment was down -3.7%
Medical College of Georgia was down -3.2%
Georgia Southern's endowment was down -4.3%
Spelman college's endowment was down -5.4%
Agnes Scott's endowment was down -7.2%
Morehouse School of Medicine's endowment was down -8.2%

NACUBO's new release of data:
https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=h...uary232013.pdf

Endowments went down, but SAT/GPA went up on average. 'Education Week released its “Quality Counts” report today, and Georgia ranked 7th in the comprehensive rating system for the second year in a row and also became the first state to earn a perfect score in the category of transitions and alignment, which examines early-childhood education, college readiness, and career readiness'

For comparison of other UGS schools, below is a breakdown from the USG's newly released dataset. I've arranged them by SAT, since GPA can vary due to honors/AP courses, feeder schools and grade inflation.

Georgia College and State U: 1160 3.42

North Georgia College and State U: 1117 3.51
