Heh, I meant uneven as in a number which cannot be tied with a score. But I see what you mean.

New Orleans only has two pro sports teams, and the Hornets/Pelicans suck. All they have to cheer for is the Aints.

If you go to certain part of Atlanta, where the native Atlantans live, all you will see is Falcons gear. The farther you get from the city, the more you run into transplants.

As far the the actual point of this thread, team value all comes down to winning and your stadium/parking/concessions deal, and the Falcons are trying to fix both right now. They could really jump in value by the end of February, thanks to a new stadium deal and, yes, a Superbowl win on February 3.

Unlike the Braves, the majority of Falcons fans reside closer to the city center.

This might article, Football's Most Fanatical Cities - Arts & Lifestyle - The Atlantic Cities, might add some insight into the Pro vs College Football discussion.

If they win the super bowl this year and continue to compete (like the patriots or steelers), then their value will go way up.

Y'all have nailed it. The Falcons lackluster record over the years has failed to generate enough excitement to create a consistent level of fan enthusiasm.

Obviously there are plenty of people here to support a major franchise, but you've got to win games. Remember how pumped the town was in 1998? Atlantans love football but it's tough when you see mediocre results.

Looks like we've finally got some momentum going so let's hope they keep it up!

I wouldn't say majority, but there are more Falcons fans in the city center than Braves fans, at least right now.

Their net worth should increase next year as they are winning this season and can potentially host 2 playoff games at home.
Hopefully this will attract more fans hence draw more revenue
