Hey guys! I'm looking to move to the Atlanta area, most likely I will be living in Decatur. I'm from Tuscumbia, Alabama and I've never moved to an area where I didn't know more than a handful or people so it makes me nervous. I have a career in fashion photography in Atlanta and I show my art work over there so I have been quite a bit and I travel over there frequently. I really need help learning more about the area and meeting new people!

There's a great nightlife scene in Atlanta, bars and nightclubs alike. There's definitely a notable bar culture in Decatur. Do you prefer one over the other?

My wife and I moved to Atlanta from Florence. We located in athe eastside neighborhood of Kirkwood, 3 miles from Decatur Square. Decatur is like a small town, but very expensive. There is a great bar scene, something The Shoals always lacked. For more info you can PM (Private Message) me. Most of the eastside is safe, if you are smart and don't leave valuables in your car, aware of your surroundings, and don't show off electronics.
