Neither of the above is correct. The flow is as follows. LENOX RD STARTS AS A MOSTLY NORTH / SOUTH THOROUGHFARE AT PIEDMONT RD IN THE NORTH PART OF BUCKHEAD. IT CHANGES TO CHESHIRE BRIDGE ROAD AT THE BUFORD - SPRING CONNECTOR / BUFORD HWY (GA 13) INTERSECTION > CHESHIRE BRIDGE ROAD CHANGES TO PIEDMONT CIRCLE > PIEDMONT CIRCLE TO MONROE AT NEXT TRAFFIC LIGHT ONE BLOCK LATER, PIEDMONT CIRCLE CHANGES TO MONROE DRIVE ONCE MONROE CURVES TO THE LEFT AND LEAVES THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE, IT BECOMES A MOSTLY EAST / WEST THOROUGHFARE. IT REVERTS BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL NORTH / SOUTH DIRECTION ONCE IT REACHES THE EASTERN SIDE OF PIEDMONT PARK. MONROE DRIVE CHANGES TO BOULEVARD AT THE PONCE de LEON INTERSECTION IT REMAINS BOULEVARD UNTIL THE ROAD ENDS AT THE GATE OF THE UNITED STATES PENITENTIARY IN SOUTHEAST ATLANTA. All of this is verified by looking at Google Maps. At the intersection of Cheshire Bridge Rd. it is where the road once curved becoming Piedmont Circle. Years ago, the city allowed what is now Gino's Pizza to move the curve slightly south so they could put in a small parking lot. Before this, Piedmont Place and Cheshire Bridge Rd. were better aligned. In the event something happens with Gino's, it is believed that the city would take that property and move the Cheshire Bridge Rd / Piedmont Rd / Piedmont Circle intersection back into better alignment. and give relief to the businesses across from Gino's. Note, I said "believed." I do not know the real accuracy of this and though asked, City Hall will not verify.
