I am looking to switch to a new credit union. The local branch of our current credit union closed and I am sick of not having the option of actually visiting them. We live in Tucker and I would like to have a branch within a few miles of us. I found some options online but I would like to hear from someone who has had a good experience before switching.

Thanks!

Is this a good credit union. Have you used them?

Yes, I belong and I am still a member. They were originally only open to communication workers such as at&t but now it is open to all residents of certain counties (DeKalb and Fulton for sure).

What impressed me is when I had a car loan with them:

1. My loan was .5 percent less because I purchased a hybrid vehicle.

2. Interest was not tacked on at the front end of the loan.

3. I had no pre-payment penalty.

4. Customer service was great and the car loan process was as easy as it got.

A friend has a home loan through them and at the time there were offering loans with no origination fees.

The downside is that they don't have many brick and mortar locations. The location in Tucker is one of their largest locations. I have been very satisfied with them.
