Peachtree City police hope that a Dec. 11 collision between a car and a golf cart will serve as a reminder that homeowner’s insurance does not cover golf cart accidents when those vehicles are off their property.

Man, I would definitely get that cart insurance. From the looks of the vehicle those carts can do some major damage.

What if you negligently injure somebody and wind up getting sued for large dollars? If you don't have insurance the damages could come out of your own hide.

Most golf cart insurance premiums only run $50-$80 a year. Well worth the money.

It look's like Peachtree City's biggest problems lately are aggressive deer.

“The doe is exhibiting behavior that is unsettling given that it has, on two occasions, been standing at the front door when a family member opens it to leave the house.”

That is horrible! However, as we develop more areas that were once these animals homes, we force them from a rural area into a neighborhood. They really don't have many places to go. We have deer in our hood - in abundance. They are a nuisance. They eat my hostas and gerber daisies each year. So, we've learned to adapt by planing things that the door don't like. But, what are we to do? We invaded their native homes and displaced them. But, if one trampled my dog, I'd borrow my neighbor's gun and shoot the durn thing when it showed back up.

Ugh! I had been seeing a lot more deer close up when on golf cart and thought they looked rather menacing. Guess it wasn't in my head!

It was a beagle. The deer did us all a favor.
