It's going to be a fine tourist attraction for Atlanta. Maybe people will finally stop telling me to take them to Underground.

The SEC capital and the home of Georgia Tech. Georgia State has a football team too to sort of fluff the location.

I'm glad to see this project come to fruition.

The state of Georgia has committed to provide $15 million in bonds to build infrastructure improvements around the attraction, including the parking garage.

Just a few more weeks!

Quote:
The College Football Hall of Fame will be a 95,000-square-foot attraction that will have about 30,000 square feet of exhibit space. It will be adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center and Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta.

The total project cost is $66.5 million. The majority of those funds already have been committed through sponsorships and contributions.

Sponsors include Chick-fil-A Inc., Chick-fil-A Bowl, The Coca-Cola Co., Georgia Power Foundation, KIA, Brasfield & Gorrie LLC, Invest Atlanta, Under Armour, Georgia-Pacific, AT&T Inc. and Omni Hotel at CNN Center.

“To be able to put together the resources that are necessary to make this a reality in these very difficult economic times is a huge, huge accomplishment,” said Gov. Nathan Deal.

Great project, I wonder if any new hotel construction will follow. Does anyone know how far the Civil Rights project will be from this project?
