thbrewst - put the kids down for a later nap.. then they'll be up for the show... of course, they'll sleep in the car on the way home!

Hard to tell with summertime - of course I'd think weekdays would be less crowded, but it does draw crowds. My suggestion would be to stay away from particular 'event' weekends... chili cook off's, daisy festivals, etc.

To the OP... they are not worth the money for a typical family with kids. I find it better to enjoy the experience... put down a ratty old blanket on the ground and make a picnic out of it. Kids want to play and run around!

Now if you're with someone older, has a tough time walking far or walking off sidewalks on slopes... Please for the love God...ignore the other posters earlier in this thread.... the seats are great and very accessibly. The seats on the left side (facing the mountain) specifically are next to a handicap parking area. It is still a bit of a walk, but its shorter than any other option, there is a sidewalk all the way there, and there are no steep grades. (It is the parking lot for the picnic area)

The charge for parking really hasn't changed from how they do it in the old days... they've always charged. Alternatively, you can use an annual pass, instead of a single day pass.

Depends on the day....

Midweek you can pull up 15 minutes before the show and be fine.

Weekend give yourself buffer... you'll want to find a nice spot on the field too. Maybe 30-45 minutes. Admittedly we typically bring food and get their really early. For us it is more nostalgia and habit.

For July 4th weekend.... ignore the above... you're spending the day at the park... Get there as early as possible
