No

I wouldn't call Cherokee a hotbed for diversity. Or any of the clubs for that matter in town (or out of town).

Cozy intown course with many beautiful tree-lined holes and a gorgeous clubhouse. In the early 2000s Druid Hills got into a battle with some of its same sex members who wanted their partners to have family privileges. There was a bunch of publicity for a while but it seems like they worked it out.

As a ccc member I would say you can't go wrong with ccc, Cherokee, pdc, Druid hills or ansley. I wouldn't consider much if anything else. All clubs have relatively significant wait lists (1-3 yrs). Druid hills and ccc both have recent major clubhouse renovations and bob cup in town golf courses. Great lay-outs and extremely well maintained. Cherokee golf is awesome however it is a pain to drive to roswell every time you want to play. Likewise for pdc only you get to listen to jets the entire time. All membership bases represent the top caliber of atlanta's population and while not terribly diverse, you should find no trouble making meaningful friendships. Hope this helps!

Lot of misinformation here.

1) You won't be on a waiting for over a year at most of these clubs. Heck, I even know someone that recently joined your club, CCC, and it was 8-10 mths.

2) CCC not only had a recent clubhouse renovation, they also completely started from scratch on a redo of the in town course. Not really misinformation, but if you're going to mention a clubhouse reno, might as well mention that the course is brand new as well.

3) Cherokee's golf facility is located in Sandy Springs, not Roswell. And given Buckhead's proximity to GA400, on a weekend you'll have about a 15 minute commute to the course. Forget about hitting balls on the weekdays if you attempt to go up GA400 after 4pm.

This is quite possibly the most misleading statement of them all: "All membership bases represent the top caliber of atlanta's population" ...thank you for the laugh. Good night.
