I know of a guy who jumped off small rock ledge and landed on a cholla ball wearing sneakers. He says the spines went clear through the top of his foot.

He must have been one of the hikers we (the tax payer) help lift off the hiking trail with a helicopter the other day. Didn't anyone tell him that when you step on one of those, he was really meant to be critter food for the wild life. Darn, now what are the Coyotes and Bobcats going to eat?
