Wondering about the bug problems, if any, near Willcox. Do they get in house a lot? What kind can I expect? Don't want to be watching TV and have a surprise go across the floor. Thanks for the responses.

The 'bug problem' in Willcox is probably about the same as the entire state. Unfortunately, you live in the desert and bugs are a part of that. Yes, they can get in the house. Make sure you hit your shoes together before putting them on, and check beds and couches before sitting. Not saying you'll be infested, but just take proper precautions. Get an exterminator out to your home if you want.

It really is a small issue in grand scheme of greatness in AZ

My husband and I were just discussing the bug issues between our home now (Hereford) and our old home (MI/WI). We love not having the biting bugs out so that we can actually enjoy summer! But we have a major cockroach problem! I guess whenever a new house in the area is built, the in-house cockroach problem increases (lucky us, one just got built two lots behind us). We have had one scorpian in the house, but that was entirely my fault. I'm worried about centipedes!!! And I worry about what is crawling around while I'm sleeping--I don't care if its during the day--then I can get rid of it! I'm keeping only light-colored sheets on the bed now, so I can see easier. Every night I quickly lift up the sheets and peer down... it keeps me sane!

I now live in southwest Florida, but had lived in Nevada and looking at some acreage near Wilcox. As for bugs... we got 'em bad down here in FL! Palmetto bugs (big cockroaches) get in no matter what and mine is a newer concrete block/stucco home! Mosquitoes and no-see-ums are bad throughout rainy season which is about May- October. Love bugs can gunk up your car in spring and to a lesser degree in fall. We also have scorpions! IMHO... I prefer AZ or NV... dry, nice climate, only thing missing is the beach LOL!

I just use some Bifin IT and spray about every 6 weeks outside . . . keeps the **** roaches at bay, we live in Sunsites about 25 mi South of there in a little golf course community, a few spiders, but not any other problems, outside of "town" there are some scorpions, and centipedes . . .

Correction, Tishpit . . . lots of "beach" here, just no water!

! ! ! ! ! !

As for bugs . . . unfortunately, there are bugs just about everywhere, however, Arizona has far fewer than Florida and most other states.
