Does anyone know if the bookstore with used books is open on NY's day? I believe it's on the main drag there...used to be around the corner near the train tracks, but it moved years ago.

Thanks!

I don't know if this is it, for sure, but it looks like the only bookstore there. Seems like the easiest way to find out would be to call them and ask.

I don't know if we have any Willcox connections here on the forum. Still seems like the best way to find out is to pick up the phone.

It used to be a great bookstore, not only did it sell books but it was the only place I knew that sold Uncle Johns Sorghum molasses the best I have ever had....not sure if they still do.

I called. They are closed on all Sundays. I know they used to sell honey and bee pollen. I love that store. We'll stop on our way back. Since they are run by volunteers, they are open at or about 10 am.

FYI, this is a GREAT book store. Anyone stopping in you'll get such fantastic deals. I got 14 books for $4.10! It benefits the Willcox public library.

When I go to Wings over Willcox next year, I'll check it out!

Driving to Tucson the other evening I saw flocks of Sandhill cranes in the air stretched from horizon to horizon....thousands....a grand sight.

They estimate 36,000 are wintering there.

I see them all the time when I visit FL, but never in anywhere near that quantity. I'm looking forward to seeing it, planning on next year.
