No, actually all of these particular pics were near a road. The falls are at the end of a fairly high clearance road. They can be seen from the road but to get close you have to do some somewhat hairy climbing on the rocks.
All the other pics were taken from the road or very near.
I walked up a small hill and out in a point to get that last one of the fall colors along the stream.

The Frye creek area road up until a couple of years ago was about as rough a 4x4 trip as you could find.
But recently the Forest service really did a good job fixing it up.......I still wouldn't take a low clearance car but a 2 wheel drive will suffice all the way to the lake and usually to the falls. I didn't have to use my 4 wheel drive at all.

On a short hike yesterday up Marijilda Canyon in the Grahams.

In this pic you can see Deadmans peak ....peaking over the ridge.

In the middle of this pic the slight shadow is the trail....very overgrown, I lost it about 4 times.
