I do....I have lived here 40 years and hiked literally hundreds of miles on it....probably 100 miles in the past year. I have rekindled a love for hiking along with a desparation to get in shape and I have covered some miles. and am constantly astounded by the beauty of the Arizona country

And you do a great job of portraying it, thanks!

While ago you posted some pics off that mountain, after that I checked it out on Google Earth, for roads and so on.
Seen an observatory, and a few weeks ago, while driving west bound on I 10 in the morning, i am pretty sure you can see it from the interstate.
My question, can you get there by car, and can you seen Wilcox?

The only way to reach the Telescope is through the tours provided. Here is a link to them.

Discovery Park Campus - MGIO Tours

You can however drive all the way to the Clark Peak trail head which is about 40 miles from Safford. About 7 miles south of Safford on 191 the Swift Trail starts. It will wind through 30 miles or so of some of the most beautiful and spectacular country. You climb from around 3000 ft elevation to over 9000 and if you are a mind to you can hike to over 10,000 ft elevation...(Webb peak and Heliograph peak are wonderful hikes, Webb peak is only a mile to the top and a fantastic trail. Heliogragh is a 2 mile hike)

Tons of camping, fishing at Riggs lake and in some of the streams, some of the best hiking trails in Az, meadows, lots of tall pines, and aspen, deer, turkey, and about a nice a mountain range as you will find.

And yes you probably saw the scope from Wilcox....it can be seen from there.

Yeah, you can easily see the observatory from I-10 west of the Safford exit.

Went up to a place in the foothills of Mt Graham...this is Frye Creek that comes out of the Graham mountains.

This area is called the Frye Mesa Potholes, and is a popular place for locals to come to in the summer and swim and slide down the rocks. Several different views. Very overcast today so the lighting was not the best.

My youngest daughter was taking care of the decorations for our church's annual Christmas shin dig and extravaganza...so she decided to go a sort of "rustic woodland" theme.

So she asked me to go up on Mt Graham and help her find pinecones. suitable wood, branches etc.

On the way up I snagged some pretty neat pics.
